Saw Young Adult last night, which I found to be leagues superior to Diablo Cody’s first film Juno. There were a few queasy, uncomfortable moments in Charlize Theron’s performance, but those only reminded me of Lesley Manville’s incredible and incredibly uncomfortable performance last year as Mary in Mike Leigh’s latest film Another Year. I guess what I’m saying is see both?
